Gala Avary is a 30 year old writer and producer. You might know her from all of the VHS tape talk on The Video Archives podcast with Quentin Tarantino & Roger Avary — or maybe from one of the hundred celebrity interviews she’s conducted on The Gala Show. Besides podcast production, Gala has produced movies such as the action crime film Lucky Day (2019) and the upcoming drama Sicklerville, shot on 16mm in New Jersey. She’s been featured in Variety and Fangoria, curated for Arrow Streaming, moderated for screenings at The New Beverly Cinema and The Texas Theater, and spoken at establishments like Creator Camp, Snap Inc., and Soho House. A Harvard graduate with a degree in psychology (cum laude) and minors in history and anthropology, she brings a unique blend of academic insight and love of film to every project she works on. Gala is a co-founder of General Cinema Dynamics Corporation, an innovative cinema technology company.
